Process for new construction
This is what happens when we build new
Design and Planning
Every organ project starts with a careful planning and design phase. We work closely with our customers to understand their specific needs and wishes, and develop a unique design to suit both the space and the musical function.
Material selection
We use only the finest materials for our organs. The wood used is mainly quarter-sawn Swedish pine, but also oak and other hardwoods. Metal pipes are made from various alloys of tin and lead, usually hammered.
Manufacturing
Every part of the organ is made with great precision and care. Our craftsmen take pride in their methods, using both traditional and modern techniques to ensure that every detail is perfect.
Assembly
Once all the parts are ready, the organ is assembled on site. This is the culmination of the work, as we finally get to see and hear the whole organ in its place.
Intonation and Tuning
Once the organ is in place, the tuning of the pipes begins. This is time-consuming work, where each barrel is reviewed and fine-tuned to achieve a balanced result. After this, each pipe is tuned, and the organ finally sounds in unison.
Aftercare and Maintenance
After installation, we offer ongoing maintenance and support to ensure that the organ maintains its high quality and optimal performance for many years to come.
